The Atlanta Blues Society

Mission Statement

The Atlanta Blues Society intends to preserve and promote the native art form of Blues music. To educate the public about the Blues from it's roots in slavery to the present. This will be done through performances, public school education programs and financial as well as moral support of the Blues musician community. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation operating with an all volunteer staff.

Our pledge to you, our Members, Sponsors, Contributors and Customer.
The Atlanta Blues Society respects your privacy. Our Internet site is meant to be a service to you. In order to provide you with timely information and the best products, we record a variety of information from your visit to our site. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

Your personal information: what we collect and how we use it.
When you purchase products, Memberships, Sponsorships from or contribute to
AtlantaBlues.org, we collect your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address. First, we use this information to fulfill your order and to communicate with you about your order. In fulfilling your order, we only share your personal information with outside parties to the extent necessary to fulfill your order. In addition,

a. Your First Purchase from AtlantaBlues.org
- We use the information you provide to automatically place you on our e-mail newsletter list to receive a sample e-mail newsletters and an invitation to join the Atlanta Blues Society with a formal membership.

b. Your Subsequent Purchases from AtlantaBlues.org
- If you have purchased merchandise from AtlantaBlues.org before, unless you click the link to edit your subscription profile at the time your order is confirmed, your subscription status will remain unchanged.

Whether you are making a first purchase or any subsequent purchase, if you later decide that you want to be removed from a list or do not want us to share your name and postal address information, simply follow the instructions in the section "Reviewing, Changing Your Information or Unsubscribing" below:
·  When you send a gift and want it sent directly to the recipient, you will need to submit the recipient's name and postal address. We use this information only to ship the product and confirm delivery. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to fulfill that order. Information you provide us to create a gift-card is only used for that purpose, and it is only disclosed to the person receiving the gift.
·  When you ask that we e-mail you when a product is back in stock , we collect your name and e-mail address and use this information to e-mail you information on when the product is back in stock. Unless you uncheck the box at the time of making the request, we automatically place you on our e-mail newsletter list to receive a sample e-mail newsletters and an invitation to join the Atlanta Blues Society with a formal membership.  You can unsubscribe from one or more of our e-mail newsletters at any time by (i) clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any electronic newsletter that you receive from us; or (ii) following the steps outlined below in the section "Reviewing, Changing Your Information or Unsubscribing."
·  When you send us an e-mail to absmail@mindspring.com, we collect your name and e-mail address and use this to reply. We may also place you on our e-mail newsletter list to receive a sample e-mail newsletters and an invitation to join the Atlanta Blues Society with a formal membership. You can unsubscribe from one or more of our e-mail newsletters at any time by (i) clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any electronic newsletter that you receive from us; or (ii) following the steps outlined below in the section "Reviewing, Changing Your Information or Unsubscribing."

Information about customers and visitors shared with third parties
·  As described in the section "When you purchase products from Atlanta Blues.org," if you have purchased products from us, in addition to being placed on our e-mail newsletter list, we will never make your name and postal address available to any other company for the purposes of specific direct mail (e.g. catalog) product or service offers that they think may be of interest to you.


Reviewing, Changing Your Information or Unsubscribing
At any time you can unsubscribe, correct or update your information or modify your preferences pertaining to our e-mailed newsletters and mailing list.
·  To review, change or update information, as it pertains to our newsletters, you have several options:
· By e-mail. Send an email request to absmail@mindspring.com with a "Remove" request

To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to this information or making corrections.

Requests to be unsubscribed will be processed immediately, however you may receive additional newsletters for up to 1 week. Delays may occur if the email address or postal address information you provide us does not match the information in our database.

To enhance your shopping experience, the AtlantaBlues.org site may have links to other sites on the Internet that are owned by third party vendors and other third parties (External Sites), or you may come to AtlantaBlues.org from a link from an External Site.
